OK, after many hours I am rater frustrated...has anybody successfully set up a L2TP/IPSEC VPN from Windows 2000 to a Netscreen 5GT?

I have followed the Netscreen documentation very closely, and have also tried to make some logical tweeks to see if I can get this thing going.

I can get L2TP alone going just fine. But when I try to overlay IPSEC W2K dial-up eventually times out and reports back "no answer".

The logs on both the Netscreen and on W2K (oakley.log) show Phase 1 and II negotiations go through fine...but then nothing else.

Anyway, if anybody has successfully completed this configuration, I'd love to know how you did it (or what documentation you followed).

Thx.

Hello,
Did you try using some of the debug commands on the NS before ttrying to establish the tunnel? This might give you a better idea what is going on.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,
