L2 DL Error

What's the first question Mitel support asks? "What firmware version is the system". New IP phones being shipped are not compatible with older firmware. You'll get L2 DL Error on boot up.

Description/Symptoms
Symptoms: 5312/20/24/30/40 fails to boot with L2 DL Error
Body/Solutions
53xx series phones are preloaded 6.2.0.x firmware version. The 6.2.0.x firmware version is not allowed to download to pre-4.1.1.x firmware version. When these sets are registered to pre-MCD 5.0, they would fail to downgrade with an error of L2 DL Error. They could then reset and repeat with same cycle.
Environments
53xx series must have been preloaded to 6.2.0.x firmware.
5330e, 5340e and 5360 are not affected.
MCD software version must be pre-MCD 5.0
Solutions
Download firmware FW_53xx_4.1.1.7.zip from MOL.
Unzip it and then follow the FirmwareUpgradeProcedure.docx to install the 4.1.1.7 firmware on the 3300 running pre-MCD 5.0 software.

Thanks for that. I forgot to mention this was on an sx200 ICP. I have a very difficult time searching bulletins for some reason.
