Hey all

I have a pc that will not for the life of god print to a Kyocera FS-1000 printer.... we have tried several aftermarket printer ports, reloading drivers, cables, bios settings, widnows upgrade 95->98se, init strings for the printer direct from Kyocera!!! I am stumped

Don't know this printer at all, but will it print from DOS as a basic ASCII printer? Boot up with say a MSDOS v6.22 system disk onto which you must ensure you have PRINT.EXE file, and any small DOS text file. At the A:\> prompt type PRINT FRED.TXT (or whatever the file is) and hit <CR>. Hit <CR> again when it asks "Name of list device [PRN]", and see if it prints. If yes, then either you have the incorrect print drivers installed, or there is a problem with the Windows parallel port driver.

Good luck!

ROGER - GØAOZ.
