Had a 1232 go crazy today, ended up having to default it and reprogram, not a big deal. But somehow all messages left in the voicemail are gone. I did nothing to the voicemail system, where did the messages go? Is there anyways to get them back?

your correct a defult of the 12-32 wont effect the voice mail system.
i suppose the question is when you resetup the td you set with same extension number range and also set the extension mailbox number as it was
can you login to the mailbox ie when ring the vm from ext 101 do you get mailbox 101

also have you done login to the vm system to see what it says maby it was the voicemail system that went faulty not the phone system.

The only thing that I can think that may have affected the voicemail is I setup the phone system to use port 16 before I had changed the Ext. numbers to 4 digits. But I then went back and deleted the vm ext. and tried it with the new ext. made no difference.
All the voicemails work, all the greetings were correct, just all the messages were gone. Of course it is a lawyer firm.

have you tried ringing the voicemail then type #6* and mailbox number ie
i have never seen a TD setup with 4 digits and evenmore never the tvs i thought 3 digit was max. could be a difference in the software for your contry
have you logged into the tvs with software to check what the reports say. re messages in your mailboxes.
