We have a Panasonic KX-TDA100 system with a TVP100 Voicemail unit. The whole system is working fine with no (known) issues other than this one. One particular user will receive a call fairly frequently but completly random from extension either 239 or 240. When the user answers an automated recording sounds "this is the voice processing unit..." then some rap backing music will kick in and a random guy will reel off some message that can't quite be deciphered, basically spam.
Users dial ext 500 to get their voice mail; however 239 & 240 are the ports the TVP is physically connected to. Therefore dialling 239/240 will also take you to your voice mail.
I'm scratching my head as to how/where these messages originate from and why it will automatically go straight through to that user. A regular voice mail message will sit on the user’s phone and light up the message light.
I appreciate that I can’t stop someone calling in but there seems to be more to it than that.
Any ideas and I'd be really grateful.
Thanks in advance
Adam
