Hi
We have a Panasonic KXTDA-30 system at work with the following slots in use:
DHLC4, DLC4, LCOT4, LCOT4, DLC8, DLC8

We seem to have a problem adding more phone to the system - we have enough spare slots available to plug the phones into the switch but when we reach a certain number of phones adding further phones either results in a 'card obstacle E033102 error" or the phone doesnt power up, or adding the phone shuts down the system!

Any ideas how do resolve this problem would be greatly appreciate - it almost seems like there is insufficient power in the switch to run the phones when a critical number is reached.....

Thanks for your help

Arun

it depends on the number of phones and model of phones, you can have 24 dt300 series or dt76xx telephones and using dxdp ports have 48 of the above with second PSU.
if you have kx-t74xx or older phones in the mix you will need the second power supply when 24 power units are reached.
the older phones use 4 units and the dt300 and kx-t76xx or 75xx use 1 unit. only 4 kx-t74xx series phones can be used with 1 power supply connected

Thanks, i didnt realize there was an option to connect an extra power supply - i guess there is a second power connection socket on the switch? I'll check it out when I get into work

psu is important to design a pbx system small - medium - and large you can plug second power suplly in your pbx also better upgrade your mpr to ver 4

ver 5 was the last version. unless you have access to software and programming tool, don't do it or you wont be able to connect to that version

Hi All

I added a second power supply and that didnt make a difference, I still get the 'card obstacle E033102 error' when adding more than the critical number of phones.

Is the version you refer to the version of the maintenance console - we are at v1.03

Any further ideas?

Cheers
Arun

what phones do you have connected to the system (model numbers)
is it the same model psu as the main one?

The statement above ''it depends on the number of phones and model of phones, ...'' requires you to advise on the number of and phone series that you have in place.

Are the power supplies in use the ones specified by Panasonic for the KX-TDA30?

Hi all
Every phone connected is mopdel KX-T7630
The new PSU is identical to the one supplier with the system. I tried unplugging the older power supply and plugged in the new once into DC1 and the system worked but still have the same problem, I tried DC1 and DC2 with both old/new PSU variants.
Cheers
Arun

Both PSU's are 40V 1.38A output, there is a very minor variation in the model number, both are stated as being used specifically for the KX-TDA30

Plug the DC connector of the AC Adaptor into DC IN 1.

• The AC Adaptor supplied with the Hybrid IP-PBX must be connected to DC IN 1. If an AC Adaptor is connected only to DC IN 2, the Hybrid IP-PBX will not start.

• If you need to connect an additional AC Adaptor, plug the DC connector of the additional AC Adaptor into DC IN 2.

. The cards are in the appropriate slots

Keep us posted if that works for you.

Hi, I have 2 DC adaptors plugged into DC 1 and DC2

I have the original PSU in DC1 and the secondary PSU in DC2
