Hi,
i've been programming a KXTD612e with ISDN2e, I Have the DDI's working but i need the callers to be able to leave a message if theres no answer after say 8 rings.

I can get to the message but once the message has played it continues to ring.

any ideas?

Just to be clear..

So when a call comes in, after 8 rings the caller can hear the OGM (Out Going Message), but the phones continues to ring?

Are you using the company OGM or an individual extension one?

its the company one. all the customer wants is that 3 telephones will ring then after 8 rings they will hear the ogm and be able to leave a message.
regards Skippy.

Make sure BV is assigned in program [455].

To record the company OGM:

From any phone - Off-hook, dial 7121, enter OGM number (1-9), Confirmation Tone, Record Message, Hang Up.

Let me know if this works.

I'll ask this ? on the 612 there was a bv card for it?

we never had that option till the 824 and 48-4 the 50 -4

I did enable the card in program 455, then recorded the OGM using the soft keys on the Managers handset. The DDI routed correctly, i then assigned the BV to answer the call after 8 rings. I then heard my recorded OGM followed by a beep to start recording my message, but it then continued to ring the handsets.

Regards Gary

sounds like your ringing assignments are not right the ext with the ogm should be the intercept route for that trunk

Not sure where it's going wrong but if I was doing it from scratch, here's how I would do it:

In program [001] store the incoming DDI in any location between 500 and 699.

By default all these locations are pointing at Call Handling Table 01 (Day & Night) in program [024].

The ringing assignment can be set in program [452].

Then in program [455], you can set the BV to answer for the Call Handling Table. (works the same as intercept)

I'll keep my mouth shut bri w/ddi never caught on here and I know there are very subtle differencs in uk and usa version
