We have a customer with a KXTD1232 and a TVS50. Lately the system has transferred some incoming calls not into the proper extensions' voicemail boxes, but to the operator. That is, the caller hears the OGM, presses a key to leave a message for a certain person, and gets not that person's voicemail box but the general box. This happens only intermittently and not with just one station/VMbox -- it happens to various stations randomly. Any ideas?

first power down both systems and wait 30sec to power up see if it may be corruption in the Data base

also check to see if some of the mailboxs have the max capacity of messages, this may cause an overflow to the General Mbox

If it a cell phone calling from the outside it does happen.

I have found this is usually due to the interdigit timer in the voicemail. Cell phones sometimes don't put out the DTMF tones fast enough or the person can't enter the digits fast enough while trying to drive and place the call :) If you don't enter a valid extension it defaults the call to the operator. You can adjust the interdigit timer a little bit.

Good thought, I would have to agree this is a possibility.

also a lot of cell phones by default send a short
dtmf burst and the tvs is not friendly to that.
