KXTD1232 R4 off hook ringing

I can't believe I am unable to resolve this issue. On a TD1232 Rev4, is there a way to allow an off-hook phone to ring on a new call? Phone is a Kx-t7433. Receptionist wants her phone to ring when another CO line is ringing. I have looked at the manuals in regards to call waiting, busy station signalling, etc....but phone still does not ring when its off hook. When its idle it rings fine. Should the phone ring or will there be a beep in her ear...?

yes you have to set c.o. call waiting on reception ext and make sure that ext is assigned to ring on all lines!With call waiting set you will get muted ring and caller id if installed and active.

If you need a quiet normal ring tone while you on a call, make sure you do 2 things,

1, call waiting is on. Press Intercom, 7311

2, Program a waiting tone. Press Program, 99, 5, 2, Autodial/ Store.
