kxtd 1232 upgrade

does anyone know if i can take a config off a kxtd 1232 version 4 and upload it onto a version 6?

If you save programming with a version 6 tool from the 4 you can then upload it to the 6

dalavar01, are you sure of that, I can see the v5 and v6 being ok, but if you use v6 tool to connect to a v4 system, it will give paramerer errors

if you are using dos software you cant upload -4 backup to a -6 ksu

Weird I could have sworn I have done this before with a dual cabinet system. I had to upgrade one cabinet to make it the same version as the other and don't remember any issues. But it may have been within one version.

And I always use the -6 DOS tool to save and upload data from my old -1 and up systems. Have to go change some daytime hours today on 4 systems of different versions will use the -6 tool on all of them today and let you know.

i did it and so far it works, when you send the config into the v6 it asks about changing DDI, clicked yes and all went in ok, this was the dos programming tool used

maybe 4/5/6 are so close that a basic database makes the transition but beware you may find later some info didn't make it or it starts acting flaky .
