I went to a customer site to upgrade the software from 3.0 to 4.2, after doing the upgrade and going to Panacare and registering the system and retreiving the keycode I could not load it using utility>file transfer from PC to SD card. And also now I cannot do a SD backup.

My distributor thinks it is a bad power supply (KX-TDA0103 L-Type), or a bad MPR Card ( reader / writer in the MPR)

Panasonic has recalled several M-Types but no L-type

Anybody ran into this.

It does seem to be a M type power issue. However, are you able to confirm your SD memory card? You might also have damaged the SD card during the update process. If you can read/ write to SD. I suggest a new power supply.

Put the sd card into a card reader or a camera and drag and drop that
dsys file then restart .......you were / are supposed to backup the system before an upgrade and thats why you are supposed to have a spare system in stock so you don't get caught with you pants down when stuff like this happens. It gives you
a way to mock up to solve issues and you can trouble shoot with the parts

Thanks for the post.

It was my power supply. as soon as I changed it I was able to upload my new 4.2 registration key from panacare.

I had copied the private folder to my laptop before I did anything so I was able to go back to 3.0

Thanks
