Panasonic KX-TDA30 with EXT-CID card
>>> MPR 5.0100
TELCO is sending ISDN CNIP (Caller Name) data in the DISPLAY IE for an incoming call. In the ISDN protocol trace, I can see that the KX-TDA30 with EXT-CID card running MPR 5.0100 does in fact receive the caller name in the DISPLAY IE. However, all PT's and analog phones connected to the KX-TDA30 only show the caller number, not the name.
Probably not a phone issue: caller name has been configured as the primary data line to be shown on the PT's, and scrolling on the phone when the call is ringing does not reveal the name either. I'm pretty positive the phones simply aren't getting the caller name from the KX-TDA30. Also, all phones, including the non-Panasonic analog phones, do show the caller name (and number) when an internal call is placed from one phone connected to the KX-TDA30 to another, just not when an external call is coming in.
TELCO said they use DISPLAY IE by default because that is what is most widely accepted. Does the KX-TDA30 expect the caller name from TELCO in FACILITY or KEYPAD or calling party SUBADDRESS or another element for it to display on the phones? I can ask TELCO to change to any of these elements.
