Now that I can finally connect to the PABX I have set up a few basics. However there are a couple of phones I need to call forward to an external number, for both internal and external calls. I seem able to set this but it does nothing. As I can call forward internally I suspect that this is something to do with the COS of the extension, and maybe a trunk-to-trunk allow parameter (I am thinking iSDX here as I have many yers of programming them). I have assumed the digits are 9 + PSTN number.

Thanks and regards,

your right

you have to go to system>COS and set FWD to CO option
you dont have to touch the CO to CO timer as this is not normally enabled in a defult system.

to set the handset to forward to external number: IE *710290879600415# (this can be placed on a button)
or if using DDI you can place it directly into the DDI table as a route without the need for a handset IE. as the destination 90879600415(no #)
finally you can set up the forward in the extension setting > forward section again without the *7102 and again (no #)

Note forwarding of a group requires a different bit of programming
