Sorry for creating so many threads, but I found that when putting multiple issues into a single thread, most of them were not addressed.

When calls come in they get transferred from POTS by Direct Inward Line and from T1 by Direct Inward Dial to ext 601, which is the voicemail group, but what actually happens is that the operator's phone rings nearly 5 times, then finally the voice menu is played.

I want the AA/menu to play instantly, and only go to the operator if the caller doesn't chose an option, but I have not been able to find how to do this, after reading the manuals and posting another thread mentioning this problem. Please help!

p.s. The original issue I started a thread about has been resolved, but this is one of a few remaining issues, which I'd like to post separately, to hopefully have them read by people who don't want to read the long original thread.
 
Put the Vmail DN in the DIL setting for the CO.

Thanks- this worked! I made the change in both DID and DIL to go to 500 and it didn't take effect immediately, so I thought it hadn't worked, but it had, and I saw when I called back later.

The DIDs had been written as only the last four numbers, without their area codes and exchanges. Are they supposed to still work like that? If so, is there any downside to using just the last four digits, if no other DIDs have them? Thanks again.
 
the amoumt of numbers setup in the did table depend on what your telco is sending in. if you put 5 numbers in and the only send 4 the system will not see it as a match and will not transfer to that destination
