Long time lurker, first time poster! Thanks for all the very useful info I've gained to this point.

I'm an IT guy by training, but now have to support an in-house PBX as there is no-one else to do it.
I've had some phone training previously and do a lot of structured cabling, so I have enough knowledge to be 'dangerous' :)

Trying to add a new PS plus CS to an existing install of KX-TDA100 & half a dozen KX-DT343 phones

Cards in the KX-TDA100 are as follows:
0 MPR(M) 3.0018
1 LCOT8 ---
2 DLC16 3.001
3 SLC16 ---
4 idle
5 idle
6 OPB3 3.002

I'm using Unified Maintenance Console Software v7.7.1.0

My question/problem:

I'm trying to set up a new wireless PS (KX-WT125) on a newly installed CS (KX-T0155)

So far, I've managed to get the CS configured in Section 1.2 Portable station page of the UMC software.
CS now has a green LED and seems to be connected to the PBX, but I've done no real config of it at a software level other than add it.

I'm trying to do Wireless XDP Parallel mode - to have the new PS emulate the front desk wired phone.
Section 1.10 of the KX-TDA100 Features Guide says "...refer to the Wireless XDP Parallel mode feature 1.22.3"
however, that same document doesn't have a section 1.22.3 and there isn't a 1.22 section of the software.
I've tried to follow the instructions for the WT125 for how to register it, but that didn't seem to go through.

I've read a caution that this model of PS may not be able to access all the line features of the wired desk phone, but at this point I don't care, I just want it to ring when the desk phone rings, and possibly be able to transfer a call as needed.

I've also read that I might need to update the firmware of some of my cards or the PBX itself, but trying to find those firmware files is an exercise in frustration and a dangerous spamfest! [3eyes]

Can anyone please explain how to get this configured either from the associated desk phone, or from the software?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The CS is plug and play, so if the light is green and the port on extension card the cs is connected to shows the type as CS

As for the pairing to a desk phone. Under extension settings, I think it is tab option 1 there should be a column called wireless xdp. Put the ps extension number in that column for the digital phone you want to pair with.

If that’s not there, what version of software is on the system?

@obtsystems Thanks for replying!

I'm going to be onsite tomorrow and will take a look. Unfortunately it's serial connection only at this time :(

The MPR card in the system says 0 MPR(M) 3.0018
Is that the system software version?

You should be ok with that version.

Why don’t you use the usb?

@obtsystems

Thank you - it was just as you said - I put the extension of the wireless phone into the Wireless XDP column of the extension settings, power cycled the phone, and it changed its extension from 150 to 101 to match the desktop phone it is paired with.

As for USB... I don't have one to hand, and haven't remembered each time I go to storage... so....yeah [3eyes]
