Customer wants to install a single line wall phone with no dial pad so that when the handset is lifted it will ring directly to the security desks ext..

Is it possible to install an analog set and program it with this Hotline service?

What is the best way to set it up?

Thanks!

if you can do it with programing viking makes a hotline
no dialpad phone.

Sure. In a TDA-50, the first 4 ports are hybrid. Take one of those, attach your single line set to it, then go to 4.1.1 option 2 and set pickup dialing to "ON" and give it a destination.

I install Nortel and Avaya Partner most of the time. Do you have a suggestion source for docs. for this system so I can ge into programming mode?

Whoops, was that the sound of the other shoe dropping? There is a Proprietary phone users programming guide for version 4.0 or better (yeah, it works for lower versions in this case), but the key is to get a single line set on ports 1-4 to the location. From memory, *742xxx puts in the sequence and *741 turns it on (*740 turns it off).

Those codes are absolutely correct (minus the *) for a TA and TD series, so I think that's right for a TDA.

This is a Tek Tips forum, not a hacker's forum, so you'd have to find a Panasonic dealer or vendor to get the docs for a TDA. The PITS programmer's guide is distributable.
