I've heard a lot of talk about Programmator and was wondering if it's a good choice or is there an alternative? Also where do you guys get it from, a Google search shows so many different links and the price ranges from $50 to $175! So where should I look for the proper download (and price)? Thanks in advance.

1 download the dos version for rev 1-4 and a windows one for 5-6 from Panasonic dealer site
But you can do everything through the handset
Some program tools on line will cause you more problems than help

Had a customer use Programmator on a phone system and every time they did I had to go reprogram the darn thing. Even if you didn't edit any of the extensions it would upload it's default data to them and wipe out any names you had programmed on the extensions and turn off XDP it was a mess

I have the DOS version from when I did my training about 10 years ago and despite emailing and phoning Panasonic (they always say someone will call you back) I can't find out how you become a dealer or get any training courses! So I was just looking at alternatives to the Panasonics own software. Thanks for your input though.

the kxtd are no longer supported by panasonic, where are you from, if you have the software what do you need to know?

I have the DOS software and it doesn't run on Windows 7! I am in the UK.

do you have a 64 bit machine, you can get software from microsoft site( free i think) to run 32 bit programs

DOS is 16 bit and I believe that you need a VM software to run it. 64bit Windows will only run internal commands like ipconfig etc.
From microft.com
No 16-Bit Code

No 16-bit code can run, except for recognized InstallShield and Acme installers (these are hard-coded in Wow64 to allow them to work).
16-bit Setup bootstraps are not supported.
16-bit MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows 3.x utilities will not start. If you attempt to start such a program, you receive a "Program.exe is not a valid Win32 application" error message.
You can see the full limitations here:
Meanwhile I have downloaded Programmator, first three didn't run on Windows 7 64bit but the fourth one did and I have succesfully connected to a KX-TD1232 and downloaded the settings, altered them and uploaded them. Shame that Panasonic make it so difficult for you get their software.

I still be carefull with the programmator as they are for the USA systems and they are different
I can give you the windows one for the uk one but that is for 32 bit

If you could let me have the Windows version I'd appreciate it. I can run 32 bit apps OK in Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks again for the help.
