I have three cordless units but only one seems to have 'come live' after a move to a new site.
Is there a config process for each unit or at least is there a test to confirm that a unit is still good to use.
I am new to the brand so any suggestion to assist me in fixing this is greatly appreciated.
Best regards

Make sure XDP is disabled on the ports that the 7896's are plugged into. If you moved them and they were working at the old site, they should work as long as plugged into the same port. They take two pairs per base.

Many thanks 94astro.
I don't know if they are in the original ports they were punched down to at the old site. There are three units and only one at this point is up and running.
I am thinking that there is a configuration issue or process that needs to be completed so that they can operate on the ports that they currently punched down too.
There is one unit that does not access any dial tone whatsoever and the other gets dial tone but when you try to input a number for calling it just continues with dial tone.
Let me know what your thoughts are.

First thing is to make sure xdp is disabled on the ports.

How is that done. I am trained in Nortel and Avaya. Panasonic is, as they say "all Greek to me".

I was able to get the three handsets up and running; however, one set works really well while the other two units seem to have some "ghosts in the machine" so to speak. The extensions are 106, 107, 108 but when 108 is on line or has answered a call and 107 wants to call out or answers the next call then the call on 108 is dropped and the person using 108 ends up with dial tone in their ear.
Any ideas of what is going on?
Please advise
Many thanks,
