I'm setting up a TVS110 VPS with an existing KX-TD1232 single cabinet. I have successfully got the VPS setup, talking to a PC, mailboxes created, and based on the feedback from the VPS, "DPT Integration Established". I can't get the VPS to light the message waiting lamps. I've read these forums, have all of the manuals, and have tried (I think) every combination of F,X,701,700,etc. to no avail. I can light the light from any DPT, any SLT plugged into an XDP port, AND from a buttset clipped across the VM port. The VPS never seems to send the command to the PBX. I had originally thought I had too old of PROM in the 1232 and have new ones from Panasonic - I didn't put them in due to time constraints and having to re-do the PBX programming. (My customer is open 7 days a week.) Any info would be appreciated. I may just bite the bullet and do the ROMs and hopefully be able to reload PBX programming from data file, but if I don't have too......

things that come to mind when you created mailboxes did you
put the ext numbers in I know its a silly question but if your boxes dont match the exts it won't light lights?in classs of service did you tell
the voicemail to light a light for each message? did you
do a quick setup for the td1232 x2 ck the pbx integration? you can not put a buttset across the vm port and expect to hear anything like outpulseing digits 2b+2 integration on voicemail only black yellow is used for vm port .

Thanks for the response...

Are you referring to "covering extension" or just making sure mailbox number match extension numbers? If the latter, yes all mailboxes have matching extensions.

Yes to the COS question...it is set to light for every message.

Yes to checking PBX integration. As mentioned in these forums, the quick setup does indeed leave these fields blank and you have to put the info in manually. Should it be 701X and 700X?

I have never had to put those values in but thats what
they should be. give it a try and then let us know!!

hey if those values are in there get into the utility
command and type in PTUD and see if the voicemail is
indeed sending the message on or off sequence also all calls to mailbox enabled wiil also stop lights from lighting if it is turned on in mailbox settings!

I have used PUTD and NO, the VPS isn't sending anything to the PBX. I only get "thank you" or the disconnect message - all other DTMF and status is displayed properly. I need to check the all calls xfer setting....that may indeed be it. Hopefully...I am on site every Tuesday, but may get down there between now and then, so I'll let you know. Thanks much.

hey D you realize that you can dial in
and have them transfer you to voicemail and you can check that paticular setting in a mailbox thru the keypad if you know the password to one of the boxes!!

its "all calls transfer to mailbox disabled" should
be the way that the boxes should be set not enabled and that can be check with out going to the site!! Shawn

oh yeah, you're right. I'm just so used to being there! I'll let you know what happens.

Shawn,

I was there last evening doing a software thing and sent a message to a mailbox and indeed that did the trick...it would have driven me nuts looking for that. Is that particular Y/N option documented anywhere? Thank you so much for the tip. I can finally get them to start recording greetings and get this thing up and running for them. It's going to be a glorified answering machine at first for about 5 people, but I'm sure will quickly evolve into and after hours automated attendant too. Should make my customer very happy! Thanks again.

- Darryl

for 5 people a very basic right to the point custom dialing
menu will do the trick with intercept routing during the day
and the same menu would sufice for night as well!
