Hello,

When making outgoing calls on any of the digital phones, a busy signal can be heard. It
sounds far off and goes on and on and then stops and then goes on and on again. I called
Hawaiian Tel and they said our lines are fine. I don't believe this occurs when someone
calls Kalani (incoming calls).

Any ideas?

your line may be crossed with a line that is in trouble outside the system... if you don't have proper telecom test equipment you really should get your vendor in this could be a real hair puller to clear the problem...

It turns out that 2 CO lines connected to the PBX are getting busy signals. I'm going to disconnect them and figure out what's up with them.

hey it may still be outside the building just because they say the lines a clean don't mean a thing we hear that all the time and we show and it is outside....a lineman's test-set and banjo in line tester would come in handy....

I did test the 2 lines and they are fine up to the PBX. So I took out the 2 lines in the programmator software and the busy signal went away. Now I have to figure out why the PBX is not allowing those 2 lines to function. Our voice mail system kx-tvs50 is malfunctioning so I had to transfer all calls to working phones so people can take messages. It could be that, but I don't know the connection. In the meantime, those 2 co's are offline and I will be getting a new kx-tvs50 within the week.
