KX-TA624 Blinking power light

I believe I have a system that was hit by lightning. The power light is constantly blinking and a lot of the ports are dead. I have only 6 working ports on an expanded system.
Are my feelings correct and I must replace the control unit?

Power down System. Try unplug all jack from the KSU . Then power the system back up to see if it clear the blink ing light. If not you have a bad Unit

Thank you for your response. Here is what I found out. This unit had a 3x8 expansion board on it. I looked it over and found heavy corrosion. I removed it and it still failed, I then cleared the memory by turning the battery switch to off and hitting the reset switch. KSU came back up and is still operating. Thanks to all

was the system mounted under a sweaty water pipe?

Actually they had a small roof leak that only leaked in a heavy down pour. I just happen to be there during one.
