kx ta 624

New on here.. just changing my kxtea308 to a 624 as I need more users. I can't seem to program it to dial 9 for outside line? it selects one automatically and I've fount that. found the part where it says dial 0 or 9 for a outside line but still can't make it work? anyone have any tips please? thanks in advance
