KX-NT343 Ip Phone

Does anybody know if it is possible to connect a NT343 telephone at a remote location and connect to a TDE 100 without using IP SEC VPN Tunnel ?

I tried it, and it registered to the system and get all visual indicators ( displays correct, can make calls to the office ect )

But I have no audio in either direction

with correct port fwd on each end it is possible, but it is not stable and I would say put in a vpn or you will spend more time on it than 2 routers cost

Which VPN routers do you like ? I have used Netgear.

netgear are good, you will also benefit from a pc being on the office network

What I am trying to do setup a way that I can go to a client's site and do a demo of the Panasonic IP Phone NT-3XX, softphone, Communications assistant.

Can I take a Netgear FVS VPN Router and plug it into their network without configuration changes to the network. As long as they are using DHCP will the netgear wan port connect to one their switch port's and gain internet access.

You could do a demo with the softphone and ca on a laptop using a windows VPN to a pc in your office

I do VPN into my office and have the IP softphone and CA. I will probably just get a projector and demo those off of my laptop.

Just thought might be nice also to have a desk phone.

You can setup a VPN router in your office, and bring one VPN router with you to the customer site. You can set up the VPN the way so that when you plug in your VPN router to the customer network, the VPN tunnel will be up automatically ( I have used Cisco 851 and setup VPN remote server for this). Then you can demonstrate the IP desk phone.
