Hi

Can someone tell my if features like "call pickup" (dialing *41<extension> / *40<Group>) also works with SIP phones?

At the moment I can pickup KX-NT343 and SIP calls with a KX-NT343 phone, but not with a SIP phone, and I would like to know if this is a configuration problem or a limitation of the KX-NCP500.

Thanks

I would say it should work, just like it would work from an analog phone. Is the SIP phone maybe modifying the digits somehow?

I don't know if the phones (I'm testing with 2 different brands and a software client) modify the digits, but it doesn't look so for me.

If i trace the call with wireshark it ends with "480 Temporarily Unavailable":

[pre]SIP/2.0 480 Temporarily Unavailable

Check for call pick up group to see if the two exts involved belongs to the same or different groups.

I tried it on our NS1000 and it does work. I see by your trace that you dialed *40 and extension number, it should be *41 plus extension number.

check if call pickup deny is on the other phone, but if you can pick it up from a nt phone it should be ok

using *40 and group index. (*4001 will pickup group 1, if they are in different pickup groups directed pickup *41 will still work)
