KX-HDV XML Phonebook

Hi guys,

I'm trying to setup an XML network phonebook on a KX-HDV340 SIP phone. I've managed to configure the following parameters:

XMLAPP_ENABLE="Y"
XMLAPP_LDAP_URL="

http://.../phonebook.xml"

XMLAPP_LDAP_USERID="user"
XMLAPP_LDAP_MAXRECORD="20"

This works and the phone does a HTTP GET when searching in the network/shared phonebook. Unfortunately this does not work for incoming calls. I'd like to configure the phone to display names for incoming calls and I've found 2 relevant config parameters:

NETWORK_SEARCH_ENABLE="Y"
NW_PHONEBOOK_ADVANCED_SEARCH="Y"

However neither one of them forces the phone to search for a name when an incoming call is received. Can I make this work or do I have to use an LDAP phonebook instead?

Any help would be appreciated!

Try to use a parameter XMLAPP_INCOMING_URL

See Administrator's Guide, page 251.

Could you point me to more details, i.e. when I set XMLAPP_INCOMING_URL to some URL, what will the phone query and what should I return? Thanks!

Nevermind - figured it out myself. The only thing that worked was to switch to using LDAP alongside NETWORK_SEARCH_ENABLE="Y
