Hi everybody.

I programmed a new KX-TD 1232 unit extension module KXTD 170 (8 ports supporting XDP) to work as 16 extensions using the XDP feature (8 digital, 8 analog.

After programming the unit it simply refused to work. I reset the machine several times and nothing. After experimenting a while I found the solution.

The solution:

a) Turn the extension module off by software.
b) Turn off the unit
c) DISCONNECT the module from the box.
d) Turn on the unit again. This will "match" the status with what actually you are saying it has installed.
e) Turn the unit off again
f) Connect the extension module again into the unit
g) Turn on power supply and
h) Switch to ON by software the KXTD 170. Unit should work now.

Note: KXTD 171 is a new version of the KXTD 170. It provides for CALLER ID Single line telephones (SLT) to work with the unit. The procedure should work for it also.

In TD1232 You have to tell KSU Where CO or EXT. Module is
Installed in Programming. By Default Bottom EXP. Slot is CO
Module & Uppper TWO are EXP. module. Where did you installed
TD 170? As soon as you program this, it starts working. You
don't have to whatever you did.
