KVM Switch and Monitor Display 1

I am using a KVM switch. I want to share my single monitor with my two computers.
One of my computer's displays great but the second computer display does not work. The display either is not there or the horizontal is messed up.

Is there troubleshooting I try?

might be resolution settings that were set on the PC prior usage of the KVM, you might want to plut in a monitor directly and lower the resolution to the same setting as the PC that works with the KVM.

most kvms have a resolution max supported , try lowering the resolution to see if that fixes anything. 1280 x 1024 ect
