How to find out how many physical NIC cards are there in my Server with out having a physical look .
Thanks
Sagar

I found prtconf|grep le to find the le ports (10 meg) and prtconf|grep hme to find the 10/100 ports, I am not at all sure this is ideal, as you may have fddi or other network ports
I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Use ifconfig -a command to get the number of physical network interfaces to your system.

hmmm ifconfig only shows configured interfaces on my unix servers, prtconf shows the idle ones as well. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
