ksh: error

Hi all and thanks for your help.

The following error shows on my H70 running AIX 5L


"ksh: <command name> : 0403-006 execute permission denied"


Also, i cannot run "telnet" , "smit" etc commands.

Please help as this is a backup Production Server.

First check

ls -l $(whence <command name>)

If the result is not something like -rwxr-xr-x then you have a file permissions problem

has the box been hardened?? your login might not have permission to do those commands
