KS-23395L4 on a Definity ECS 1

Customer has a KS-23395L4 music-on-hold adapter. He's got two sources connected to the RJ45 connectors on one side and an analog port on the opposite side. He swears this has been working; playing two sources into one moh input. One input doesn't work. If anyone can verify for me that this config works, I'd appreciate it. However, the L4 adapter is difficult to find. My question concerns the KS-23395L3 adapter that has two RCA jacks insted of the RJ45 jacks. Will this adapter replace the KS-23395L4 on a Definity?

It may work, but it would probably sound awful. It doesn't provide two different MOH sources. Just two combined sources.

They would have to match the input types. That is, one is an unbalanced source, while one is matched for the 600 ohm input the PBX expects. If they were pumping an unbalanced source into the balanced (reg source) connection, it may work for a time, but could burn it out.

Don't know about the other adapter.
