Konqueror and samba browsing

I'm trying to browse a windows share in konqueror but it doesn't seem to be able to access any directories below the root directory.

so smb://mysmb/ works but when I access a dir like smb://mysmb/apps it just sits there. I can successfully access the dirs with smbclient so it can't be a permission problem.
