Knoppix & Sony Vaio Video & DVD

I have Knoppix(3.7(?)) on my Sony Vaio(PCG-F450), I use the included Xine to play DVDs but all I can get is the soundtrack and a blue screen.

How can I fix this problem?

The video card is a NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV with 2.5MB of video RAM
