Knode_Execption STOP error

Whenever i do the simplest things on my Windows 2000 Professional box, i get a STOP error that is something to the effect of "KNODE_EXECPTION_NOT_HANDLED"

this is really starting to get to me as i cannot figure out what the problem is.
