Howdy!
Not sure if this is the right forum for this post, but it seems to make sense if you think about it...
I'm setting up a kiosk browser in my place of business. It will allow staff to acces the company website and no others in a spectacularly orwellian fashion.
I've already started the project (using FireFox as the browser). It's hardened down OK but the users can still access the "File, Edit, View, Bookmarks etc" bar and the name bar at the top of the screen. I want to be able to lock it down such that a user can only access it by entering a password. Otherwise they're stuck in my site.
Does anyone know of a method of doing this? Example: could i write a script to launch FireFox with a specific window size (thus cutting out the top of the windows)? Can i put a password control on everything on my system (like setting up a user with NO priviliges whatsoever)? Or am i in cookoo land? Please help me and i'll dance at your wedding!!!
thanx a million
