When I run a query I want to count the number of times the customers account no appears.

Having probs with this as it seems to count it along side the number of times it appears next the product they purchased.

Eg

Count Number Product Date

5 aa1 Cheese 01/10/2000
4 aa1 Cheese 02/10/2000
1 aa5 Chips 02/10/2000
1 aa1 Chips 03/10/2000

etc....

I'm sorry, your question is a bit unclear. could you post a few lines of your table and then post what you want your query results from the table to look like?

I think you want to do a group query:

column1 is
CustomerNumber
Total:group by

Column 2 is:
Count: 1
Total:sum

This should give you a count by customer number.
