Somehow Quicktime was installed on my computer and it sits in the tasktray every time I boot my computer. I want to get rid of it but do not see it under Add/Remove programs.

In my other system (Win98) you can edit the startup items (win config) but I don't see the same options on Win2000. It's not in my Startup folders.

Is there a way to edit Win2000 startup items? I didn't really want to just remove the QT* files from my system.

Go through Regedit to remove it permanently from startup...

Start>Run>type "Regedit">Browse to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRENT VERSION>RUN

and delete QuickTime Task Key
