I'm running a background process in a sesson (without using nohup). So how I want to quit the session now and I don't want the background process died. Can it be possible?

"nohup arranges
for the SIGHUP signal to be ignored by the process"

in this way if you close your session the process continue to run !
nohup is enough

Thx Bat,

However, If I forgot to use "nohup" while starting process, will it still be possible to just kill the session without affecting its child process?
