Hi Folks,
i use an Networker 6.2 Server Build 109 with Exchange 2000 SP2 in an Clustered Environment.

When i Backup my first virtual Server i receive the following message after Backup approx. 20 GByte

nsrexec:Attempting to kill on remote Save
(execption occured) exiting
aborted tue inactivity

If i start the Backupjob from the Client, the Backup work fine

Any Tip ?????

Thanks

xxmehlman

What saveset are you trying to back up on the virtual node?

Do you have the same problem backing up the physical nodes?

Try changing the savegroup's inactivity timeout to zero, which means the savegroup will never time out due to client inactivity.

Hi wallace88

i'm a colleague from xxmehlman and we have fix the problem.
your tip to change the inactivity timout to zero was the solution.

many many thanks. you save our weekend.

Thanks... good to hear....

Just be careful. Now that the backup will not time out, then if the client is not sending data to the server, then the savegroup backup may hang forever.

So you should keep an eye on it, and if possible, try to determine why the client(s) wasn't sending data for more than 30 minutes?
