Hi All,

I am trying to delete files with the Kill statement (Access 97) which works fine until I try to compile the DB and then run the button with the Kill command on it( I get a runtime error). Does anyone know how to get around this ?

Cheers

Bill

As I do not know what error message you are getting I can only really point you in two directions.

1. Make sure the file exists, you can get a nice runtime error when the file you are trying to delete does not exist.

2. If you are trying to delete via access make sure you have the correct references set.

If this does not solve the prob, let me know what error message it is an I might be able to assist or have a look at this site for more information:

Hope this helps

If the problem is that you are attempting to delete a file which does not exist, I handle this by using "On Error" and then simply exit the procedure without writing any error trapping code.
