Is there a way to tweak MS Outlook 98 so the email alert beep doesn't sound when you receive SPAM (i.e, mail that's in your junk senders list or adult senders list)?

If that isn't possible then is there a way to divert all intra company Email (from other people in my company) to a particular folder, leaving the junk and external Email in the Inbox?

Thanks for your help [pipe]

Not sure that there is a way to kill the beep on SPAM, but you can do the other option you ask.

You need to set up a Inbox Assistant rule (TOOLS -> INBOX ASSISTANT -> ADD RULE) and then add the criteria.

Once this is done, anyone who sends you an email that appears in the rule will have their mail sent to the designated mail folder, whilst everything else will remain in your inbox.
