Keyword popup

Wanted to throw this out for some advice. What Id like to do is create a keyword lookup based off of info I have in a database similar to yahoo.com


I want to identify matching phrases against the database then create a popup with the URL in reference to the match from the database.

Does that make sense? Any ideas how to begin? I figured some sort of AJAX script would work to put the work on the remote PC and maybe output my db list to a XML format for the lookup.
