If I use the On-screen keyboard will it thwart keyboard loggers? I found keyboard at "Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click On-Screen Keyboard".
I have a firewall, adware and other protections on my ME Toshiba laptop, but am worried about using my online banking. I have heard that online banking is more secure if the bank provides a keyboard, but the bank can't seem to get the message.

The onscreen keyboard simply generates the appropriate keycode and inserts it into the keyboard buffer, so it appears to the application (and a keylogger) that the keys are being typed an a real keyboard.

Online banking is more secure when a secure keypad is used, but this is a separate device, not a replacement for your standard keyboard. There is a significant expense involved, both in the hardware and software, so don't expect to see banks issuing keypads to private customers any time soon.

Bummer! Maybe that is why my bank ignored my requests for one. But more likely they didn't understand what I was asking for. Thanks for the info.
