Hey all,
I have a Rls.7.5 CS1000 HA that we are going to DE install and we are in the process of moving the licenses from this Switch to three other switches' which we can do for free with AVAYA providing we send AVAYA an SLT to prove we down graded to originating Switch. While trying to downgrade it validates the keycode but will not install it because as you can see from the printout it says(the newly configured ISM limit is less than the actual usage)although we did not out any of the Phones or anything else we are downgrading, I understand it should blow away the licenses anyway. Any ideas why this will not load? Or is there something I need to remove first? Thanks in advance

I can see that the difference is Traditional Telephones from 57 to 16 sets. I think you might need to out the sets first to leve it with just 16 before you carry out the keycode change.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Correct as stated above. You need to out the phones that aren't needed any longer before the system will decrement the licenses. If you out 41 digital/analog sets then the new keycode will apply properly.

Actually you've got a lot more than just traditional sets that need to come out. IP sets, SIP trunks, ACD queues, etc need to be decremented.

If this system is going to be de-installed and the database isn't needed any longer, you might find it quicker to reload software, install the default database and load the new keycode.

Thanks all, I was under the understanding it would just delete to the reduced number but I will remove all the unused item's.

THANKS AGAIN!!

Info is in the NTP's

Note:
As of Communication Server 1000 Release 7.0, new ISM limits can be activated without sysload if they
are greater than or equal to the actual ISM usage in the system. Otherwise, installation of the new
keycode is blocked.
