I installed a keycode on a 2.0 working BCM50 and now even though all of the existing DN's say IDLE when I try to use the handset it is saying Keycode Required. I restored the system via the back up and it is now working. The license file shows all working licenses 8 sets and 8 voice mails and the new EXP license. Very strange, any suggestions?

Yes that can happen. Usually a reboot will fix it.
Seems to be on the rel2 only..

Thanks, I did reboot it and it says Keycode Required. Should I power down the whole system and start up?

You may want to check the KRS and make sure the 8 license you have are legit. There were a lot of counterfeit codes on the market in the early 2000’s. Nortel had a bunch of law suits against companies because of that. If you check the KRS it should show you having 8 digital and 8 vm if it don’t then any code you add will only give you what that code is.

Yes the new keycode shows all of the existing licenses plus the new EXP license added.
