Hi,

I'm installing a BCM 50 and I'm having problems with applying the keycode. Everytime I try to upload the keycode from my laptop I get an error saying 'Invalid keycode file'. I also get the same message when trying to manually input them.

My Sys I/D matches the keycode sys I/D.

I've never experienced this before. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Ensure that you install the EM from THAT BCM if it has not been patched to current.

Better yet, patch to current first, then apply the keycode.

Thanks for the reply.

I have installed EM from the current BCM but still no joy.

did you change the name of the file you downloaded from Nortel? I saw the same error when somebody put a space in the name.. The BCM does not have a windows file system, it's a UNIX/LINUX file system...

Try renaming the file, or redownloading it under the name Nortel gives it.

Thanks Charles, your reply was spot on. I renamed the file and inlcuded a space in the name. I took out the space and it loaded fine.

Thanks again, great post.
