Hello everyone , i buy a BCM50 on internet, when i open line 1 the phone says "KEYCODE REQD", it is possible that the system have an empty keycode ?

When i go on BCM element manager, on Keycode, all value is "0" and key type is 2.

Thanks for your help again

In the keycode section, there should be a site ID. Also look for the MAC address as it is the same and post it here as it can be checked on the Avaya KRS site.

That system isn't even registered in KRS so that has to be done first. You will also need to buy whatever licenses you need from someone other than Avaya as they don't offer licenses anymore. You can probably get what you need from old vendors who still have the paper authorization codes. They can still be activated in KRS. Just make sure that what you buy is for the same release as your BCM. They aren't all release specific but some are.

To register it, you will need to provide your Country, State/Province and City at a minimum. Several of us on here can do that for you. Once that's done, your vendor of record (whoever registers it for you) can then generate the necessary license file.

This is definitely something you have to be careful of when buying a used system......always verify what, if any licenses, are active. Otherwise, you might wind up with a boat anchor!

Good Luck!

Always verify the system ID in the KRS before plunking down your money. Many of the BCM's for sale on eBay have had their licenses migrated to another unit. This is probably what happened in this case and explains why the system ID is not registered. I'd suggest returning the BCM for a refund, if possible.

The answers already supplied are correct. The BCM 50 software version is 1.0

Site Id/System Id : 00:16:CA:3E:23:0C
Sequence Number : 1
Associated System Id : NNTMHD005YFL
Current Version Number : 1.0
Current Configured Feature(s):
Int Analog Sets : 2 units
Int Analog Trunk : 4 units
IP Client seat : 2 units
VM seat : 8 units
Int Digital Sets : 8 units

I might be able to help out if you still require a keycode, but it will be best to do this off line as I require some more details from you.

Ok if I understands I have to buy a new key, just to get an idea how much is a key as this one.

Thanks

The easiest way is to register it and then obtain a Try N Buy feature as this is free and it will generate a new keycode for you with the above features enabled.
