Can anyone tell me the different types of keyboard type which can be setup?

for example at the moment my linux test box is setup on a laptop of mine but the keyboardtype is set to pc is there one for laptops and if so would it be safe to assume that its laptop?

The out put of my keyboard file is below:

[user@test1 sysconfig]# cat keyboard
KEYBOARDTYPE="pc"
KEYTABLE="uk"
