I recently installed a new power supply and from then on i am having problems with everything, first my video card would not display anything on the monitor, once i finally got that working my mouse and keyboard don't want to work in either the ps2 ports or the usb ports, try it in a different computer and they work fine. also my computer will not go past the boot screen.

It sounds like all your problems stem from the PSU change. Can you tell us what prompted this relacement? Was the machine running ok before? Wattage rating of old and new PSUs? What motherboard and drives do you have etc? Any beeps in the system speaker?

Turn off computer. Reset the BIOS jumper (follow directions in manual - set it back to "run" position). Next, unplug power cord. Turn the computer on (if newer type with soft touch on/off switch, hold button down for 10 seconds), turn off (remove finger from switch). Plug power cord back in and give it a try.

I would sure be interested in knowing what power supply you moved up to!
As micker377 rightly pointed out, you have to reset the bios as per mobo mfgr as its not the same way all the time, some differ on how they reset bios.

If its a P4 cpu, make sure you install the 4 pin connector along with the standard 20 pin connector.

Make sure keyboard is in the keyboard connection-sorry, but, hey, mistakes do happen, lol.

Take out all agp, pci cards, clean gold part with pencil eraser and re-install, but only re-installing what you absolutely need until the boot issue is solved, then add in the others one at a time.
If batteries involved in keyboard, mouse, or anything else, check status of charge.
Make sure ALL connections have been double-checked and none loose.

If all the above should fail, its time to take the mobo out of the case and test if from the bench (tabletop), with only minimum parts installed to get the computer to boot.
