Hello everyone.

Just having a few problems with the shortcuts on my keyboard. Things have been very strange indeed. I would be extreamly happy if anyone out there can help, cos this is starting to get on my nerves.

The problems are that some of the keys on the keyboard do things that they aren't suppose to. For example, left-CTRL mutes and unmutes the sound, and the windows key next to it shuts down the computer instead of opening up the start menu. These are the only two keys that seem to not function the way they're suppose to. By the way, the CTRL button also carries its normal functions at the same time as muting the sound.

I'm running Windows XP. Formatting doesn't help as I've tried it before. Any ideas.

Thank you all in advance.

TamerHan,
Sounds like the keyboard may be faulty. Try testing with a borrowed keyboard if you can.

Worked perfectly. Really does prove a point. The easiest solution always seems to be skipped.
