i have a ms basic keyboard (3 months old) that has lost the repeat function on several keys listed below.
arrow , spacebar , backsp , letter keys

i am wondering if there is a combination of keys or a certain keystroke combo that i have accidentally activated to cause this problem. it worked fine for a number of months and then suddenly changed.

Try it on another computer to see if it functions correctly

Check the Bios Keyboard settings. (Typematic rate etc)

Is it plugged in correctly?

Is the language the correct one?

Has someone spilt a drink on it?

Had you installed something when it "suddenly changed"?

just for starters

Maybe filter keys?

or Sticky keys, or another Accessibility option? Run the Accessibility Wizard to check.

If you have any software installed for your keyboard, uninstall it, you probably don't need it. Those CDs that come with mice and KBs get the frisbee treatment from me.

If nothing else works you could try a system restore...
